Information You Choose to Submit
A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is transmitted to the third-party company operating that tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern its handling of the query.
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Information Collected on a Visit
Ordinary server, analytics, and browser technologies may record basic details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;

- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring website, when available; and

Links may lead to the Nash County Sheriff, NCDAC, North Carolina courts, NC SAVAN, release-record resources, or an outside search tool. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy notice and data practices apply.
Advertising partners may use their own technologies to understand activity across websites and select targeted ads. Any such tracking occurs on their systems, not as a database of search terms maintained by this site.
Official public records are governed by North Carolina law, including Chapter 132 and its applicable exceptions. This privacy notice does not change what a government custodian may disclose or withhold.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by:
- a search partner processing a submitted query;
- an analytics provider measuring site use;
- an advertising network delivering or measuring ads; and
- law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security, Not a Guarantee
We use standard safeguards intended to protect information in our control. No website, network, storage system, or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted personal information, use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, a visitor may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal information we hold;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information in our control; or
- opt out of certain processing where that choice is available.
These requests do not reach records held by the Nash County Sheriff, NCDAC, a court, or another outside site. A request about an official record must go to its government custodian.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
We may revise this notice as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here with an updated effective date.
